Today we’re launching the new Tenancy Stream logo, and in doing so we start a new adventure one that we hope you will join us on.

When we set out to develop the new Tenancy Stream logo we wanted to make sure our new logo was seen as dynamic and modern, something to give you a sense of the brand and the business we’re are trying to build.
It’s a brand and business that is rooted in the modern communications, open collaboration and messaging within a community of tenants and property owners equally.
Our original logo was designed before we launched, it was just a holding logo for the website favicon, for building the social media pages and framing our intention on presentations to build a business aiming at solving a problem in the property industry from the off.
You can see just how basic our logo was at the beginning below, absolutely minimum investment. It was quite limiting only using black and white seems very dull, it just faded into nothing very easily. So we had to change that and with investment and funding in place, we set out to get things right.
These 3 images show you the original favicon, the general corporate logo for presentations and app icon.

So moving on…
Once we had got past the ideas stage and we had started to form the company and the resources and funding we needed, we knew that an impactful logo would help to frame the whole business to a greater global audience, tenants, landlords, agents and contractors, communities and neighbourhoods we lived in.
We knew that the many connections we would build needed to be represented in the logo and we wanted the new Tenancy Stream logo to be clean, dynamic and have scope for evolution if and when that might be required.
When we started to consider the colourways we might want to use for the new logo and the potential diversity of a community we might end up working with it gave us an endless range of options to consider. But which colours did we start with?
We weren’t sure about that until we hooked up with a great design and website agency based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire UK, the TIG (The InterGroup). We met with Peter, Jo and Natalie and discussed what’s we were thinking about and the ideas for the new logo and the ideas we had rolling for the business, the business that we hadn’t built yet. They went off and after a few days, they came back with a range of ideas, which was awesome to see and learn about.
A wide range of simple ideas for the new Tenancy Stream logo and its colourways is really exciting, but it took time to decide see which one you like? (hope we got it right)!
Before we were fully settled on the final new logo we continued to carry out research into the colours of other logos, brands and businesses and how the colour drives the brand, the business and shapes the customer who come to any product or service.
We looked at everything from Virgin and British Airways, Apple, Microsoft, Google and Facebook, Ebay, Slack and Monday.com. A wide range of businesses and idea and use of a logo.
We also found some useful guidance on how most major colours connect with certain emotions.
- Yellow represents optimism, warmth, and clarity.
- Orange represents confidence.
- Red represents urgency, sexy, exciting and passion.
- Purple represents royalty and trust.
- Blue represents strength and calmness.
- Green represents growth and money.
- Black and white represent elegance, sophistication, and class.
TIG came up with the new logo, we loved it.
The new Tenancy Stream logo does everything we want it to do, it has deep meaning in many ways, is very easy to use on any marketing and communications channel and we think will be in use as it is for many years to come.

Our new home page, we’re still very keen on black and white spaces and subtkle use of colours for calls to action, some of that you’ll also find within the platform. You can give the platform a try now!

Some of the ways we are using the new logo in our marketing, on our website and through our social media channels which include Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, Podcasts and Linkedin.
